Designating a potential favorite to secure the maiden ILT20 championship, our choice rests with MI Emirates. The team will be under the leadership of Kieron Pollard, a dynamic West Indies all-rounder renowned for his T20 prowess. Pollard’s capacity to deliver towering sixes and well-timed slower deliveries establishes him as a transformative force in this format. He boasts a staggering experience of 614 T20 matches, amassing 11915 runs and claiming 309 wickets.
Receiving support from another West Indies all-rounder, Dwayne Bravo, augments MI Emirates’ strength. Bravo brings to the table a rich T20 background spanning 556 matches, contributing 6894 runs and capturing 614 wickets.
The batting lineup is fortified with impactful combinations featuring Nicholas Pooran, Will Smeed, Najibullah Zadran, and Andre Fletcher. Their collective batting prowess promises havoc on the UAE pitches, leveraging their familiarity with these grounds.
Transitioning to the bowling department, the New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult spearheads the attack, complemented by pacers Jordan Thompson and Brad Wheal. The spin component is entrusted to seasoned campaigners Imran Tahir and Samit Patel, both of whom have extensive experience in various T20 leagues over the years.
